We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Performance Team Lead to oversee the performance engineering efforts for our web applications.
This role involves leading a team of performance engineers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring our web platforms deliver optimal speed, scalability, and reliability under varying loads.

What will your job look like?

Lead and mentor a team of performance engineers focused on web application optimization. Define performance benchmarks, KPIs, and SLAs for web applications. Design and implement performance testing strategies (load, stress, endurance, spike). Analyze performance test results and identify bottlenecks across front-end, back-end, and infrastructure layers. Collaborate with development, DevOps, and QA teams to integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines. Recommend architectural and code-level improvements to enhance performance. Monitor production systems and proactively address performance issues. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in performance engineering.

All you need is...

7+ years of experience in performance engineering, with 2+ years in a leadership role. Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP, REST APIs). Expertise in performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, k6). Experience with APM tools (e.g., New Relic, Dynatrace, AppDynamics). Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with front-end performance optimization (Lighthouse, WebPageTest). Knowledge of database performance tuning (SQL and NoSQL). Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems. Certifications in performance testing or cloud technologies.
