A Sales Assistant supports the sales team in driving revenue growth, managing customer relationships, and ensuring smooth sales operations. This role involves handling enquiries, preparing quotations, maintaining sales records, coordinating with internal teams, and delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Interaction & Support
Greet and assist customers, understand their requirements, and provide product information.
Handle incoming calls, emails, and walk-in enquiries.
Maintain strong customer relationships through timely follow-ups.
2. Sales & Order Management
Prepare quotations, invoices, and sales orders.
Assist the sales team in achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Process orders accurately and coordinate with logistics/warehouse for timely delivery.
3. Product Knowledge & Presentation
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all products, pricing, and offers.
Help with product displays, samples, and catalog updates.
Provide correct product recommendations based on customer needs.
4. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain customer databases, sales records, and follow-up trackers.
Assist in preparing daily/weekly sales reports.
Ensure documentation accuracy for orders, returns, payments, and delivery notes.
5. Coordination & Support Activities
Work closely with sales executives, accounts, and operations teams.
Help organise sales visits, meetings, and promotional activities.
Support marketing tasks such as social media posting, lead entry, and event coordination (if required)

Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in any field (preferred: Business, Marketing, Commerce).
1-3 years of experience in sales support or customer service (freshers may apply depending on company needs).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace.
Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Positive attitude, customer-focused approach, and willingness to learn.
Experience in B2B or retail sales.
Knowledge of CRM or ERP systems.
