You will have the opportunity to cover a wide range of topics, from breaking news events to in-depth features in the selected industries such as energy and construction, and you'll be responsible for crafting compelling narratives that resonate with our audience.

Key Responsibilities:

Research and Investigation: Conduct thorough research to gather accurate information on assigned topics. Investigate news leads and sources to ensure the highest level of accuracy and credibility in reporting. Story Development: Develop engaging story ideas, angles, and formats that captivate readers' attention and provide valuable insights into the news. Interviews and Sourcing: Conduct interviews with relevant experts, sources, and individuals involved in news stories. Build and maintain relationships with key contacts to enhance reporting. Writing: Craft clear, concise, and compelling news articles that adhere to journalistic standards. Ensure articles are fact-checked, well-sourced, and free from bias. Deadline Management: Meet strict deadlines and adapt to the fast-paced nature of news reporting. Be prepared to cover breaking news and events as they happen. Social Media Engagement: Promote your articles and engage with the audience on social media platforms to increase readership and foster a sense of community. Stay Informed: Continuously monitor news developments, industry trends, and emerging topics to pitch fresh and relevant story ideas. Ensure the accuracy and credibility of the information by verifying sources and citing them appropriately. Use search engine optimization (SEO) strategies in writing to maximize the online visibility of websites in search results. Prioritizing tasks, time management, and ensuring timely communication concerning project deliverables.

Requirements:

A minimum of 1 year of experience (unless you think you are already there in terms of skill set) Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field. Proven experience in news writing or reporting, preferably in digital media. Strong research and investigative skills. Exceptional writing and storytelling abilities. Knowledge of AP Style and journalistic ethics. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Proficiency in multimedia tools and content management systems is a plus. Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, evolving news environment. Excellent writing, spelling, and understanding of grammar. Familiarity with web traffic metrics, engagement metrics, and all other general KPIs and KRIs of the website, SEO tools, keyword research tools, etc. Should be creative, fluent, and passionate about writing fresh, engaging, consistent, and user-friendly content in multiple formats as per the target audience. Expertise in Construction and Energy industry would be a plus point
