Position Overview:
The News Presenter & Anchor will serve as the on-screen face of Politent Media, responsible for delivering news content with credibility, clarity, and professionalism. This role demands a strong editorial mindset, a confident on-air presence, and the ability to engage audiences across live and recorded broadcasts while upholding the highest standards of journalistic integrity.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication / Journalism (mandatory)
Minimum 3+ years of professional experience as a News Presenter / Anchor
Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills
Strong on-camera presence with clear articulation and confident voice modulation
Sound editorial judgment and strong understanding of journalistic ethics
Ability to handle live broadcasts, breaking news, and high-pressure situations
Excellent research, scripting, and news-reading capabilities
Proficiency in English and/or regional languages (as per broadcast requirements)
Professional appearance, demeanour, and time management skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with editorial, production, and technical teams
Key Responsibilities:
Anchor and present news bulletins, live broadcasts, and special programs with authority and professionalism
Deliver accurate, impartial, and engaging news content in alignment with editorial standards
Research, script, and review news stories in collaboration with the editorial team
Conduct interviews and moderate discussions with guests, subject-matter experts, and public figures
Respond effectively to breaking news and live broadcast situations
Maintain a strong on-screen presence, voice modulation, and professional appearance
Ensure compliance with journalistic ethics, broadcast regulations, and company policies
Coordinate closely with editors and technical teams to ensure seamless broadcasts
Stay informed on current affairs, political, social, and economic developments
