Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Editor to lead the editorial direction of our aviation and MRO-focused magazine and digital platforms. The Editor will be responsible for developing, curating, and managing high-quality content that informs, engages, and influences professionals across the global aviation and aerospace maintenance ecosystem.

This role requires strong editorial judgment, expertise in digital publishing, and an in-depth understanding of aviation industry trends, MRO operations, and technological advancements.

Key Responsibilities

Content Strategy & Planning

Develop and execute an editorial strategy aligned with the company's vision and audience needs. Identify emerging trends, and innovations for relevant coverage. Plan and manage editorial calendars for print and digital channels.

Editorial Management

Commission, edit, and proofread articles, interviews, features, and technical reports. Ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with industry standards. Maintain consistent tone, style, and brand voice across all platforms.

Team Leadership

Manage and guide writers, contributors, and freelancers. Provide feedback, quality control, and editorial mentorship. Collaborate with design, marketing, and digital teams for cohesive content delivery.

Digital & Print Publishing

Oversee website content updates, newsletters, and digital engagement. Coordinate production for magazine layout, design, and timely publication. Optimize digital content for SEO and audience analytics.

Industry Engagement

Build and maintain industry relationships with airlines, OEMs, regulators, and service providers. Represent the publication at conferences, exhibitions, and trade shows. Conduct interviews with thought leaders and experts.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Journalism, Communications, Aviation Management, or related field. Minimum 5 years of editorial experience, ideally in aviation, aerospace, or technical publishing. Strong knowledge of aviation operations, MRO processes, and regulatory bodies (FAA, EASA, DGCA, etc.). Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading abilities. Experience leading editorial teams and managing external contributors. Proficiency in CMS, digital publishing tools, SEO, and analytics. Strong industry networking and relationship-building skills.
