Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and articulate individual to join our dynamic news team as a Fresher News Anchor. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate with excellent communication and presentation skills to gain valuable on-air experience and contribute to high-quality news broadcasts.

Responsibilities:

Research and Preparation:

Conduct in-depth research on assigned news topics, including gathering information from various sources (news wires, online databases, interviews). Write and prepare scripts for news segments, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and conciseness. Develop compelling story angles and identify key talking points.

On-Air Presentation:

Deliver live newscasts with professionalism, confidence, and a clear, engaging voice. Maintain a calm and professional demeanor under pressure. Effectively communicate complex information to a diverse audience. Ad-lib smoothly and professionally when necessary.

Studio Operations:

Collaborate effectively with the production team, including producers, directors, and camera operators. Understand and adhere to studio protocols and safety guidelines. Participate in rehearsals and technical checks before live broadcasts.

Continuous Learning:

Stay informed about current events and industry trends. Develop and refine on-air presentation skills through training and practice. Seek feedback from mentors and supervisors to improve performance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong research and analytical skills. Exceptional presentation and public speaking skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong work ethic and a passion for news. Basic knowledge of news writing and production techniques (preferred). On-camera experience (preferred).
