The News Anchor will present daily news bulletins, breaking news, and special programs in a clear, engaging, and professional manner. The ideal candidate should possess strong journalistic instincts, excellent communication skills, and the ability to think quickly under pressure while maintaining on-screen composure.
Key Responsibilities:
Present live and recorded news bulletins with clarity, accuracy, and authority.
Collaborate with producers, reporters, and editors to prepare scripts and rundowns.
Conduct live interviews and moderate panel discussions with subject matter experts.
Verify facts and ensure all information presented is accurate and unbiased.
Stay updated on current events, political developments, and breaking news stories.
Engage with the audience through social media and promote channel content.
Participate in editorial meetings and contribute to story selection and coverage plans.
Maintain professional grooming and on-air presentation standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or related field.
Proven experience as a News Anchor, Reporter, or Journalist (TV/Online/Radio).
Excellent command of language (Hindi/English/regional, as applicable).
Strong on-camera presence, voice modulation, and delivery skills.
Ability to handle live situations and breaking news confidently.
Knowledge of current affairs, politics, and socio-economic issues.
Familiarity with newsroom operations and teleprompter systems.
Work Environment:
Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and late hours as required.
