New Product Development Manager (Office Furniture)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced New Product Development Manager to lead our office furniture vertical. This role is responsible for driving the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept and design to successful market launch and post-launch analysis. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the office furniture industry, including design trends, materials, and manufacturing processes, coupled with a strong background in project execution and team management.

Key Responsibilities

o

Design and Product Innovation:

o Lead the product design and development process for new office furniture, ensuring all products align with current market trends and customer needs.

o Collaborate closely with design and engineering teams to develop innovative and functional furniture concepts, from initial sketches and 3D models to prototypes.

o Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new product opportunities and define product requirements and specifications.

o

Production and Supply Chain Management:

o Oversee the entire production process, working with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure quality control, cost-effectiveness, and on-time delivery.

o Manage sourcing strategies, including identifying and vetting new domestic and international suppliers.

o Ensure all products meet industry standards and compliance requirements (e.g., flammability, abrasion, and strength).

o

Project and Site Execution:

o Develop and manage comprehensive project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for all new product launches.

o Supervise site execution and installation, ensuring seamless integration of new products into client spaces.

o Coordinate with sales, marketing, and installation teams to ensure a smooth and successful product launch and client experience.

o

Leadership and Strategy:

o Provide strategic direction for the new product development vertical, aligning product roadmaps with overall business goals.

o Mentor and lead a cross-functional team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

o Present new product proposals and project updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

o

Experience:

o Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development, with a focus on the office furniture industry.

o Proven experience in managing the complete product lifecycle, from design and prototyping to production and site installation.

o Demonstrated experience in project management and working with cross-functional teams.

o

Skills:

o Deep knowledge of office furniture design, materials, and manufacturing processes.

Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and under pressure.
