Responsibilities (Including and not limited to):

• Responsible for creating a comprehensive and well-structured System Stress and Solution Test plans and test cases for Switching platform products.
• Perform thorough Solution and System Testing for L3 Protocols and Features
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track defects
• Collaborate with internal teams (Development, Engineering Support Teams) in troubleshooting issues observed during internal testing and end-user deployments.
• Participate in fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative engineering practices
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
• Team player - highly motivated to drive things technically

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in ECE, Computer Science, Information Systems, ECE or equivalent.
• Typically 3-7 years of experience.
• Networking certifications would be a plus

Knowledge and Skills:

• Have Good Networking domain knowledge on Ethernet switching, Layer 2, Layer 3 Networking Protocols, Data Centre Technologies, Network Operating Systems
• Should have hands-on experience and expertise in testing Unicast and Multicast Routing Protocols (OSPFv2/v3, PIM-SM/PIM-SSM, IGMP/MLD, MSDP, VRF, IPv6 etc.)
• Should have hands-on experience and expertise in testing network resiliency/redundancy solutions (MCLAG, VRRP, BFD etc.)
• Experience in DC Technologies like EVPN, vPC, VxLAN would be an added advantage
• Experience in interop testing with Firewalls, Gateways & Controllers would be an added advantage
• Good troubleshooting skills in a complex L2 & L3 Network solution environment
• Proven experience in software test methodologies, tools and processes -IxNetwork, Spirent Test Centre, IxLoad, Python etc.
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive Systems Test plans and Stress & Performance test cases
• Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
• Ability to apply analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
