Network & Telecommunications Supervisor Division:ELV / IT Infrastructure Reports to:ELV Systems Supervisor or Head of Division Position Type:Full-Time, Supervisory

Position Summary:

This specialist supervisor focuses on the active IT and telecommunications infrastructure within buildings.They lead the design of robust, secure, and scalable network systems that support all data, voice, and wireless services.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a team of network designers and engineers. Design local area network (LAN) and wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) infrastructure, including logical and physical architecture. Specify active network equipment (switches, routers, firewalls, wireless controllers). Develop detailed network rack layouts, cabling schedules, and IP addressing schemes. Coordinate with IT security consultants to implement cybersecurity measures for the building network. Ensure designs meet best practices and standards (e.g., from Cisco, BICSI). Interface with telecom service providers for WAN and internet connectivity.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable. 6+ years of experience in network design for enterprise or building environments. Leadership or supervisory experience. Strong knowledge of IP networking, VLANs, VoIP, and network security. Understanding of passive cabling systems (from the ELV domain).
