This is where you come in, by playing your part in helping our customers connect: faster, better and smarter.Provide technical advice, recommendations and customer consultancy to resolve incidents for Microsoft based UC products and services

  • Diagnose and restore issues associated, but not limited to, Windows Server, Microsoft based UC products ,Office 365 and any 3rd party network, application, infrastructure, products and services supplied and operated by Telstra.
  • Provide technology leadership by designing and implementing support processes and plans to improve customer outcomes from Operations\xe2\x80\x99 activities
  • Contribute to, review and approve technical documentation including both solution handover and updates.
  • Provide after-hours assurance support on a recall roster system.
  • Contribute to new solution development, integration and accreditation programs and projects with GES Practise and Project teams.
  • Evaluate software and hardware enhancements to platforms, systems and network equipment, including participation in the appropriate approval processes.
  • Tracking of customer SLA\'s and operational metrics for faults, problems and MACs.
  • Liaise with other teams within Telstra, 3rd party vendors, external parties and customers to resolve customer issues and escalations.
  • Drive Operational excellence initiatives such as i) Proactive Tickets Reduction ii) Triaging Automation iii) define and manage quality of deliverables from internal suppliers and to external customers. Key Accountability Metrics
The successful candidate needs to have experience in working with Microsoft UC products down to the protocol level. The successful candidate should have a strong desire to participate in developing a strong, positive and goal-oriented team environment and culture.The key accountabilities of the role is to be a driver of incident reduction, cycle time and FIF through experience, skill and innovation. The Technical Specialist needs to demonstrate a high level of problem solving and collaboration skills within the Microsoft UC technologies.High Desirable
  • A degree in Telecommunications or equivalent.
  • A genuine desire for a future people leadership position
  • At least 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in telecommunication industry, including 5 years in service activation and assurance
  • Have a thorough understanding of Telstra UC and CC Products, Technologies, Networks and assurance functions
  • Experience providing after-hours assurance support on a recall rota system.
  • Proven experience in a support role dealing with customers and complex platform issues.
  • Solid knowledge or qualifications across Cloud and Voice network technologies
  • Office 365 Administration
  • Experience working and troubleshooting Session Boarder Controllers
