About The Job:

  • We are seeking a Network Security Engineer to design, implement, and manage security solutions for enterprise networks.
  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, and security policies to protect IT infrastructure from cyber threats.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Network Security Design & Implementation:
  • Design and deploy security solutions, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and endpoint security.
  • Implement and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Configure and maintain network access controls and segmentation.
  • Threat Detection & Incident Response:
  • Monitor network security using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
  • Identify and respond to security incidents, vulnerabilities, and threats.
  • Perform forensic analysis and root cause investigation of security breaches.
  • Firewall & Perimeter Security Management:
  • Configure, manage, and optimize firewalls (Palo Alto, Client ASA, Fortinet, Check Point).
  • Implement rules, ACLs, and NAT policies to secure the network perimeter.
  • Conduct periodic firewall rule audits and optimize performance.
  • Cloud & Endpoint Security:
  • Secure cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) using security controls and best practices.
  • Manage endpoint protection platforms (CrowdStrike, Symantec, McAfee).
  • Enforce zero-trust security models and access controls.
  • Vulnerability Management & Compliance:
  • Conduct security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scans (Nessus, Qualys).
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations (ISO 27001, NIST, HIPAA, GDPR).
  • Work with auditors and security teams to address compliance gaps.
  • Automation & Security Hardening:
  • Automate security monitoring and response using scripting (Python, PowerShell).
  • Implement secure configurations for routers, switches, and servers.
Qualifications:
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Strong knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and WAFs.
  • Hands-on experience with Client, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, Juniper security devices.
  • Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, LogRhythm).
  • Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, SSL/TLS).
  • Familiarity with cloud security (AWS Security Groups, Azure NSG, GCP IAM).
  • Experience with SOC operations, threat intelligence, and incident response.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle security incidents.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Education & Certifications:
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • Security certifications preferred:
  • CISSP, CEH, CCNP Security, Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE, Fortinet NSE, AWS Security Specialty.
Preferred Experience:
  • 5+ years in network security engineering or cybersecurity operations.
  • Experience securing hybrid IT environments (on-prem & cloud).
  • Strong understanding of compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2).
