Field Engineer - Infonet Comm Enterprises Roles & Responsibilities

1. Installation & Configuration

Perform installation of broadband connections, routers, switches, ONU/ONT devices. Configure customer premises equipment (CPE) based on network standards. Activate new connections and ensure proper signal levels.

2. Troubleshooting & Maintenance

Attend customer complaints related to connectivity issues, low speed, downtime, or device problems. Perform on-site diagnostics and resolve issues within SLA timelines. Maintain fiber/UTP cable connections and perform splicing when required.

3. Network Monitoring Support

Coordinate with NOC team to resolve backbone and last-mile issues. Escalate major outages and follow up until service restoration. Ensure proper documentation after every visit.

4. Customer Support & Service

Educate customers on product features, router usage, and maintenance. Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional attitude. Collect customer feedback and share with the support team.

5. Technical Reporting

Update daily service logs, installation reports, and material usage. Maintain proper records of tools, equipment, and assigned assets. Report field challenges and improvement suggestions to the Team Leader.

6. Safety & Compliance

Follow company safety guidelines during fiber handling, ladder usage, and on-site visits. Ensure all installations comply with company standards and policies. Maintain confidentiality and integrity while dealing with customer data.

Skills Required

Basic knowledge of networking (LAN, WAN, WiFi). Experience in fiber optic handling/splicing (preferred). Ability to diagnose technical issues quickly. Good communication skills in Tamil & English. Two-wheeler and valid driving license (mandatory).

Pay: ?10,000.00 - ?12,000.00 per month
