Why this job matters
Global Network Delivery is accountable for building the configuration of BT's global data network infrastructure across 200 sites. The team is responsible for providing and configuring the core infrastructure to support service provision across a number of platforms, including Global MPLS, Global Internet Access, Transmission and Voice. Global Network Delivery are also integral to launching new technology into the Global Network, including global Dynamic Network Services (DyNS), Global Fabric (GF) and Cloud infrastructure. The team are also responsible for the network migrations and network configurations to enable network rationalisation including forced site closures and supporting customer migrations.
The Network Delivery Manager role is Leading a large multi-tiered team of professional and technical experts to deliver the complex network change, integration, test, and customer migration activities required on the flagship Global IP platform with a high level of technical complexity, diversity and variety of problem solving. There is a high level of autonomy and flexibility in how the working day is organised due to the global nature of the team and therefore working across multiple time zones. This role also involves managing 3rd party suppliers, ensuring that all costs are kept to a minimum whilst supporting on time delivery along with adhering to BT's quality standards.
