Job Title: Network Engineer - Enterprise & Cloud Infrastructure

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, high-performance network infrastructure across on-premises, WAN, and cloud environments.
This role will be central to the organization's network modernization initiatives, ensuring scalability, automation, and compliance across hybrid environments.

The ideal candidate will combine traditional networking expertise with experience in cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP), SD-WAN, VPNs, and Zero Trust architectures to support enterprise growth and transformation.

Key Responsibilities

Network Architecture & Design

Design, implement, and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, and hybrid cloud network architectures. Develop scalable network topologies connecting data centers, branches, and cloud environments. Evaluate and deploy modern network technologies -- SD-WAN, software-defined networking (SDN), and network segmentation. Design redundant and high-availability network systems with strong focus on uptime, performance, and resilience.

Operations & Maintenance

Configure and manage switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers from major vendors (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.). Monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity, latency, and performance across on-prem and cloud platforms. Maintain IP addressing schemes, VLANs, routing tables (BGP, OSPF), DNS, DHCP, and NAT configurations. Manage cloud network services (AWS VPCs, Azure VNets, GCP VPCs, Transit Gateways, Cloud Routers). Implement and maintain network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Datadog, Zabbix, or equivalent).

Cloud & Hybrid Networking

Design and manage interconnectivity between on-prem and cloud environments (VPNs, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, Interconnect). Implement secure cloud networking models with segmentation, firewalls, and routing policies. Collaborate with cloud engineers to align VPC/VNet architecture with application and security needs. Manage hybrid DNS, load balancing, and network gateways.

Security & Compliance

Implement network security controls, firewall policies, and intrusion prevention systems (IPS/IDS). Support compliance with PCI DSS, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and corporate cybersecurity standards. Manage VPNs, SSL tunnels, network ACLs, and Zero Trust access frameworks. Conduct network audits, vulnerability assessments, and apply hardening standards.

Modernization & Automation

Lead network modernization projects, including SD-WAN migration, cloud adoption, and infrastructure automation. Use network automation tools (Ansible, Python, Terraform) to streamline configurations and deployments. Implement observability and telemetry solutions to improve network visibility and reliability. Participate in capacity planning, cost optimization, and network performance analysis.

Collaboration & Documentation

Work closely with cloud, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure end-to-end service reliability. Maintain comprehensive network documentation, topology diagrams, and change management records. Support incident response and root cause analysis (RCA) for network-related issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in information technology, Network Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise and cloud network engineering. Proficiency with: Network protocols: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLAN, STP, DNS, DHCP. Hardware & platforms: Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or equivalent. Cloud networking: AWS VPC, Azure VNet, GCP VPC, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute. Firewalls & security: ACLs, IPS/IDS, VPNs, SSL/TLS, IPsec tunnels. Experience with network automation (Python, Ansible, Terraform). Solid understanding of SD-WAN, network segmentation, and Zero Trust models. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications such as CCNP, CCNA, AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, Azure Network Engineer Associate, or equivalent. Experience in Fintech or regulated environments with PCI DSS or ISO 27001 compliance. Familiarity with monitoring and observability stacks (Datadog, Prometheus, ELK). Exposure to SASE, CASB, or network access control (NAC) frameworks.
