Job Title: Network & Security Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Security Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with various networking protocols, devices, and security measures. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing secure network solutions to ensure optimal performance and protection against threats.

Key Responsibilities:

Configure and manage routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF with a focus on security. Configure and manage VLANs, VTP, RSTP, and optimize STP for secure network segmentation. Implement and enforce switch port security, LACP, VSS, HSRP, VRRP, and ACLs to enhance network security. Manage AAA (Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting) protocols to ensure secure access control. Monitor and manage network devices using Cisco & Alcatel Prime Infrastructure and, with an emphasis on security monitoring. Configure and manage access rules in firewalls (Palo Alto, & Cisco) to protect against unauthorized access. Set up and manage IPSEC tunnels to ensure secure communication between networks. Regularly update firewall security patches and firmware to protect against vulnerabilities. Configure NAT, static, and dynamic routing with security best practices. Design, implement, and support secure network solutions tailored to project requirements. Manage knowledge and documentation related to network security configurations and procedures.

Required Skills and Experience:

Experience with Cisco Catalyst C9200L, C9300, C9120, C9800 C8300, C8500 edge devices ensuring secure deployment and secure configurations. Familiarity with Cisco Prime Infrastructure, HPE servers and Nortel switches, with a focus on security monitoring. Knowledge of Palo Alto 1410, 440 firewalls, with a focus on advanced security features. Knowledge and experience of WIPS, MPLS connections, Cloud. Strong understanding of network security principles and practices, including threat detection and mitigation. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on security challenges. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on security collaboration. Strong communication and documentation skills, with an emphasis on security protocols and procedures.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as CCNA Security, CCNP Security, CISSP, or equivalent. Minimum of 10 years of experience in network security engineering. Proven experience in designing and implementing secure network solutions. In-depth knowledge of network security tools and technologies. Familiarity with compliance standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR). Experience with security incident response and management. Strong understanding of encryption technologies and VPNs. (Global Protect etc) Knowledge of cloud security practices and technologies (e.g., Cloud Computing). Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with the latest security trends and threats.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in a related field. Advanced certifications such as CCIE Security, CISM, or equivalent. Experience with security solution design and implementation. Knowledge of advanced network security management and monitoring tools.
