Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated Network Engineer I to provide basic support and maintenance for our organization's network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will assist in implementing, monitoring, and troubleshooting network systems to ensure optimal performance and security.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points. Monitor network performance and identify connectivity issues. Support routine maintenance tasks including firmware updates and configuration backups. Assist in resolving network-related helpdesk tickets and escalate complex issues to higher-level engineers. Document network configurations, changes, and incidents accurately. Support network security initiatives by applying standard security practices and updates. Participate in network infrastructure projects as needed.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; bachelor's degree preferred. Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing. Familiarity with network hardware and tools. Good problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work under supervision and learn quickly.

Preferred Skills:

Entry-level certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or similar. Experience with network monitoring tools and command-line interfaces. Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles related to networking.
