Qualifications
Core Technical Skills:

• Networking:
• Basic to intermediate understanding of Cisco Nexus (5k/7k/9k) series
• Hands-on experience with VLANs, VPCs, port channels, STP, and LACP
• ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure):
• Familiarity with ACI fabric concepts (EPGs, Bridge Domains, Tenants)
• Basic troubleshooting and navigation in the APIC GUI
• Core Routing & Switching:
• Working knowledge of OSPF, EIGRP, BGP (read-only or basic config)
• Experience with layer 2 and layer 3 switch configuration and verification
• Storage Networking:
• Understanding of SAN/NAS basics
• Familiarity with Fibre Channel zoning, multipathing, and connectivity troubleshooting
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
• Able to use tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, Cisco Tetration, or Prime
• Performs packet capture analysis, syslog and SNMP-based diagnostics
• Resolves standard network outages, link failures, and latency issues
• Documentation & Operations:
• Comfortable updating network diagrams, maintaining runbooks
• Follows change control and escalation procedures
