Job Overview:

The Network Engineer will be responsible for creating a secure, reliable, and high-performance intranet network. This role involves end-to-end setup, including hardware installation, software configuration, and security protocols, ensuring smooth communication and data sharing among employees.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess and analyze the office's networking needs to propose a suitable intranet setup. Design and implement a scalable and efficient office intranet. Configure network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points. Ensure secure connectivity and manage network access controls. Troubleshoot and resolve network performance and connectivity issues. Establish backup and recovery protocols for network systems. Document network configurations and provide end-user training as necessary. Collaborate with IT support and vendors for ongoing network maintenance and upgrades.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role. Expertise in designing and implementing office networks for small to medium-sized organizations. Hands-on experience with networking hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.). Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and Wi-Fi technologies. Proficiency in network security protocols and best practices. Familiarity with network management tools and monitoring software. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are a plus.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with VoIP systems and video conferencing setups. Knowledge of cloud-based networking solutions. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
