The technical skills required for Nokia Fabric Services System roles, particularly those focused on event-driven migration and automation, center around data center fabrics, modern automation frameworks, and advanced network engineering concepts.

Core Technical Skills
Mandatory:

• Network Protocols and Operations: Strong knowledge of multi-vendor routing protocols (BGP, EVPN), overlay networking (L2/L3), IP/MPLS, network segmentation, and operational troubleshooting
• Exp in Nokia router (7750)
• Data Center Fabric Expertise: Deep knowledge on data center fabric, Hands-on experience with leaf-spine network architectures, high-performance switching platforms (such as Nokia IXR series), and SR Linux NOS.

Preferred skills:
Scripting and Automation: Knowledge with scripting languages (Python, Ansible), infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, API integration, and automation toolkits for network lifecycle management.

• Cloud and Virtualization: Understanding of containers, microservices, orchestration platforms (Kubernetes), and integrating data center fabrics with public/private cloud environments.
• Event-Driven Automation (EDA): Proficiency in automation platforms, including Nokia EDA for intent-based networking, automation workflows, and leveraging the Digital Sandbox for validation and testing.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and automate data center fabric rollouts and migrations using intent-based networking models.
• Integrate EDA with multi-cloud, multi-vendor environments to support seamless expansion and upgrades.
• Monitor state and performance of fabric resources; act automatically on events such as node failures, scaling requirements, or compliance deviations.
• Validate all proposed changes in a digital twin environment, ensuring high reliability before production deployment.
• Collaborate with network, cloud, and operations teams to enable continuous delivery and agile network evolution.
• Maintain robust documentation, process playbooks, and compliance reporting for lifecycle operations.
