Job Description
Overview:
Consilio's Network Engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining the network infrastructure for our organization. Ensuring the smooth operation of our network and providing technical expertise to the team. The position reports to the Director of Network. Responsibilities:
- Implementing network solutions to meet the organization's requirements.
- Configuring and maintaining firewalls, routers, switches, and other networking equipment.
- Monitoring network performance and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Implementing security measures to protect the network from unauthorized access.
- Collaborating with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network infrastructure with other systems.
- Staying current with new technologies and industry developments and making recommendations for improvements.
- Providing technical guidance and support to all local teams.
- Participating in regular network maintenance and upgrades.
- Documenting network configurations and procedures.
- Participating in on-call rotation for after-hours support.
Other Requirements:
Must have grown from a technical hands-on perspective up the ranks from networking perspective into positions of more responsibility into a formal management of network role. Candidates without a technical background, a data center background, or strictly an operations background cannot be considered for this role.- Excellent analytical and organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication (verbal and written) skills in preparing reports, presentations, and documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with speed and efficiency is required.
- Bachelor?s or equivalent work experience.
- 6+ years general technology experience.
- 6+ years high level network support.
- Knowledge of multiple hardware platforms including Cisco FTD and ASA firewalls, Nexus switches and ISR routers.
- Expertise in firewalls, routers, switches and wireless.
- Experience with routing protocols.
- Experience with maintaining high-availability (>99%) environments.
- Strong knowledge of Network monitoring tools.
- Some experience working with public cloud such as Azure or AWS.
