Position: Network Engineer

Job Location: Chennai / WFO

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and manage all BuyersRoad employees workstations, maintain all the Mac / Other workstation with the good physical condition.
• Ensure all the workstations are up to date with OS and other applications patches.
• Ensure Workstations are installed with EDR/AV software and Other corporate policies are enforced.
• Coordinate with hardware/software/network/ISP vendors when devices/service required support to resolve issues.
• Manage the Chennai Corporate Office premises Network, i.e including managing the firewall, switches, ISP, Printer and Faxes.
• Ensure Network devices are upto date and plan for maintenance and other activities.
• Ensure Network / OS related changes are being documented and inventory being updated regularly.
• Manage the Corporate User accounts (Office365/Zoom/Slack/etc) upon employee on-boarding and off-borading. Ensure users cleanup are performed immediately.
• Work with the HR team about employee induction programs and facilitate the new joiners/employees with IT policies and procedures.
• Estimate and plan to provide new employees with appropriate resources upon joining time (such as Laptop, Charges, Docking Stations, Extra Monitors, Headphones etc). Maintain such inventory and update regularly.
• Coordinate with the administration team about shipping resources to remote employees and set it up.
• Ensure enough backup laptop/other resources are kept available when someone requires on demand/emergency.
• Coordinate with the Admin/HR/Security team to ensure IT security standards are met and followed.
• Device inventory should be updated upon changes.
• Being first and last resort for workstation issues, Work closely with all corporate and remote employees IT/OS and application related issues.
• Manage the Workstations with MDM policies and profiles.
• Install/Uninstall/Upgrade OS and Applications as and when required.
• Deploy and monitor the Corporate office premises network devices.
• Work with various vendors to ensure corporate office premises are up and running without any disruption. Such ISP, Printers etc, Incase of any outages or emergency/planned maintenance then update the stakeholder appropriately.
• Manage networking devices and ensure network security.
• Troubleshoot issues and outages as and when happens at corporate premises as well as user endpoint workstations.
• Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls.
• Upgrade systems with new releases and versions.
• Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies.
• Good at working with vendors from getting extended support and quotes for new procurements to support business from an IT perspective.
