Comments:
Act as escalation point for L1 for complex incidents involving networking, servers, storage, or applications. Perform detailed root cause analysis (RCA) and permanent resolution of recurring faults. Troubleshoot routing and switching issues across Cisco routers, core/aggregation switches, SAN switches, and voice gateways. Configure and manage routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), VLANs, ACLs, QoS, and VPN tunnels. Maintain configurations and backup repositories for network, security, and server devices. Manage Cisco UCS blade servers and Fabric Interconnects; perform firmware upgrades and service profile validation. Oversee HPE storage infrastructure (Alletra, StoreOnce) -- LUN creation, mapping, performance tuning, snapshot and replication checks. Manage and tune TrendMicro NIPS policies, firmware updates, and integration with Cisco FMC for unified monitoring. Validate northbound integrations: NMS ? CNOC, NMS ? EMS, and API-based data exchange for alarms and KPIs. Conduct database-level health checks and maintenance for MySQL/MSSQL used in NMS, ITSM, and other SNOC applications. Implement and monitor SNMP polling and trap mechanisms; troubleshoot missing alarms or misconfigured OIDs. Manage virtualization infrastructure (Proxmox): deploy, clone, and migrate VMs; perform scheduled backups and restore testing. Apply system patches, kernel upgrades, and security hardening across Linux and Ubuntu servers. Support backup infrastructure: validate job completion, troubleshoot failed backups, coordinate with OEM tools (e.g., Veeam, Commvault). Perform proactive monitoring and performance analysis of NMS, ITSM, and EMS servers; tune thresholds and reports. Manage integration and troubleshooting of external APIs with CNOC, WFMS, GIS, and other systems. Generate weekly and monthly performance, incident, and SLA reports from NMS/ITSM. Analyze event trends to predict potential failures and recommend preventive measures. Maintain and update configuration documentation, topology diagrams, and system inventory in ITSM and CMDB. Guide L1 team on troubleshooting, escalation procedures, and create detailed SOPs and runbooks. Participate in change management -- review, test, and implement approved configuration changes. Coordinate with OEM TAC (Cisco, HPE, TrendMicro, Red Hat) for escalations and RMA processes. Conduct DR drills, data restore testing, and proactive health audits across network and infrastructure components. Ensure security and compliance of network and server configurations as per defined policies. Build and continuously update the ITSM knowledgebase with advanced troubleshooting guides and best practices. Perform periodic sanity checks on APIs, SNMP connectivity, server resources, and configuration sync between NMS, ITSM, and EMS.
