Overview
We are looking for a Hybrid Network Support Engineer who has core experience supporting networking technologies in On-premise and Azure. The engineer will also have excellent technical skills on firewall technologies specifically Cisco, Fortinet and Meraki and can adapt to changing needs in an agile environment.
The Azure Network Support Engineer will be aligned to the VWAN Support Services (as described below) and will take handover from the project team and provide ongoing support for the network changes and migrations supporting the needs of each of our business units.
Responsibilities

• Creating support documentation for handover provided by project team including using shadowing and reverse shadowing techniques
• Able to support migrations happening from current Hub and Spoke architecture to Secure vWAN hub in Azure
• Be an integral part of the squad and act as the go to person for network support requirements
• Can work independently on support issues and escalate incidents with vendors where required including ensuring ownership until incident resolution
• Collaborate with support engineers, developers, and other team members for BAU work, DR tests etc.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders, both verbally and in writing
• Applies knowledge of network technologies to contribute to network design, implementation, and operation.
• Translates high-level designs for datacenters or network sites into low-level designs and collaborates with internal teams and external partners to facilitate the development, expansion, or modification of network infrastructure within existing datacenters or network sites.
• Triages, troubleshoots, and repairs live site issues by applying an understanding of network, its components and features as well as problem management tools (e.g., root cause analysis, trend analysis, postmortems), to discover and drive solutions with minimal or no disruption to customers; participates in on-call/DRI duties to troubleshoot incidents in production.
• Analyzes capacity issues across basic transfer protocols and identifies network components that may need to be modified or replaced; provides recommended changes to hardware and/or network components to internal teams working with external partners and suppliers to improve capacity.

• Design and deploy Azure Virtual Networks (VNets) with subnets and VNet peering for seamless connectivity across resources.
• Configure hybrid connectivity solutions such as VPN Gateways, ExpressRoute, and private endpoints.
• Implement Azure Load Balancers, Application Gateways, and Traffic Manager for scalable and highly available architectures.
• Secure network communication using NSGs (Network Security Groups), WAF, and Azure Firewall.
• Automate network deployments with reusable scripts using Terraform, Bicep, and other IaC tools.
• Troubleshoot networking issues using diagnostic tools and logs from Azure Network Watcher, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics.

• Cisco - switching, firewalls

• Basic understanding of .NET, Python, PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Java.
• Familiarity with cloud governance tools like Azure Policy and disaster recovery solutions such as Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery.
• Monitoring knowledge either in OP Manager or SolarWinds
• Infrastructure as Code Management - Terraform , Azure ADO (desirable)
