oCode Technologies is looking for a highly skilled

DevOps Engineer

to manage, maintain, and optimize our Linux-based server infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Linux operating systems, server security, and troubleshooting techniques to ensure maximum system performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat, etc.). Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal uptime. Perform security updates, patches, and system upgrades as needed. Manage server backups and disaster recovery plans. Automate server processes using shell scripting and automation tools. Maintain and optimize database servers (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.). Implement and manage firewall rules, VPNs, and access controls. Ensure server security by applying best practices and compliance policies. Handle incident response and root cause analysis for server failures. Support developers and IT teams with server-related issues. Participate in infrastructure deployment and management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

2+ years of experience as a Linux Server Administrator or similar role. Strong knowledge of Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat, etc.). Experience with web servers like Apache, Nginx, and database management. Proficiency in shell scripting and automation (Bash, Python, Ansible, etc.). Knowledge of networking concepts, firewalls, and security best practices. Experience managing Linux servers in a production environment. Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC). Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration. Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, etc.). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure), especially AWS. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools is a plus. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues quickly. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
