Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain NetApp storage systems (FAS, AFF, ONTAP) across production and DR environments.
• Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and storage provisioning.
• Implement and manage data protection strategies including SnapMirror, SnapVault, and backup integrations.
• Monitor storage health, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, virtualization, and application teams to optimize storage usage.
• Maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and change management.
• Support upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management of NetApp hardware and software.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and audit requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of experience in storage administration with a focus on NetApp technologies.
• Strong expertise in ONTAP (7-Mode and Clustered), CIFS/NFS, iSCSI, and SAN environments.
• Experience with NetApp tools: Active IQ, System Manager, and Unified Manager.
• Solid understanding of RAID, snapshots, deduplication, and thin provisioning.
• Familiarity with VMware, Windows/Linux servers, and backup tools (e.g., CommVault, Veeam).
• Knowledge of scripting (PowerShell, Python) for automation is a plus.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) or equivalent certification.
• Experience with cloud-integrated storage and hybrid environments.
• Exposure to disaster recovery planning and business continuity strategies.
• Understanding of ITIL processes and change management.
