Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled L2/L3 NetApp Storage Engineer to support the Keystone Project, NetApp's subscription-based storage-as-a-service offering. The role involves managing and troubleshooting NetApp ONTAP environments, ensuring high availability, and delivering seamless storage operations aligned with service-level objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Level 2/ Level 3 support for NetApp ONTAP storage systems (AFF/FAS series) within the Keystone framework.
Monitor and manage storage performance, capacity, and health using tools like OnCommand Unified Manager and Active IQ.
Perform firmware upgrades, patching, and configuration changes in clustered ONTAP environments.
Handle incidents, service requests, and problem management in compliance with ITIL standards.
Support data protection technologies including SnapMirror, SnapVault, NDMP, and backup integrations.
Collaborate with L3 engineers and cross-functional teams for escalations and project deployments.
Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Participate in change management and infrastructure improvement initiatives.
Required Skills:
Hands-on experience with NetApp ONTAP (7-mode and Clustered ONTAP).
Strong understanding of storage protocols: NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, FC.
Experience with SAN/NAS provisioning, zoning, and replication.
Familiarity with NetApp Keystone architecture and service delivery models.
Proficiency in ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow) and ticket handling.
Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) is a plus.
Good to have Skills :
NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) or equivalent.
Exposure to hybrid cloud storage and NetApp Cloud Volumes ONTAP.
Experience with automation tools like NetApp WFA or Ansible.
Knowledge of VMware, Windows, and Linux environments.
