.NET Developer Full Stack (Kafka, REST APIs, middleware components & Retail Pos)

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy scalable

.NET applications and microservices

to support core retail operations. Build and maintain reliable integrations using

Kafka, REST APIs, and middleware platforms

. Collaborate with

Product, POS, Merchandising, Warehousing, and ERP teams

to convert business requirements into robust technical solutions. Ensure

high system performance, reliability, and availability

, especially during peak retail cycles. Follow best practices in

coding standards, testing, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native architectures

. Diagnose and resolve production issues promptly to minimize business impact on retail stores. Create and maintain

technical documentation

, including system designs, data flows, and integration specifications.
Required Skills & Experience

6-8+ years

of full stack development experience using

.NET Core / .NET 6+, C#

, and modern frontend frameworks (

React or Angular preferred

). Strong hands-on experience with

Apache Kafka

(producers, consumers, topics, partitions, schema registry). Proven expertise in designing and consuming

RESTful APIs

and integrating with enterprise systems.

Mandatory experience in retail technology

, including exposure to

POS, inventory, warehousing, or ERP systems

. Solid understanding of

relational databases

such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL, and caching mechanisms. Experience building

highly scalable, distributed systems

capable of handling peak workloads. Familiarity with

containerization technologies

like Docker and Kubernetes. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills with the ability to work independently in a contract role.
Nice to Have

Experience with other message brokers such as

RabbitMQ

. Exposure to

cloud platforms

(Azure, AWS, or GCP). Knowledge of

CI/CD tools

like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins. Understanding of

retail data models and omnichannel workflows
