Plan and schedule daily NDT activities in line with production and project requirements.
Coordinate with production, welding, and QA/QC teams to prioritize inspection work.
Assign qualified NDT personnel for each job based on certification and competency.
Documentation & Reporting:
Prepare and maintain NDT procedures, method statements, and inspection records.
Review NDT reports for completeness and accuracy before submission.
Ensure proper traceability of materials, welds, and inspection documentation.
Maintain records of NDT consumables, equipment calibration, and personnel certifications.
Standards & Compliance:
Ensure all testing is conducted per relevant codes (ASME, AWS, API, ASTM, ISO, etc.).
Verify compliance with client specifications and project quality plans.
Support audits and inspections by clients or third-party agencies.
Communication & Liaison:
Act as the primary point of contact between production, QA/QC, clients, and NDT subcontractors.
Communicate inspection results, progress, and issues promptly to management.
Coordinate with Level II/III NDT personnel for technical support and problem resolution.
Safety & Equipment Management:
Ensure safe working practices during NDT activities (especially for RT and UT operations).
Monitor calibration and maintenance schedules for NDT equipment.
Manage NDT consumables (penetrant, developer, film, etc.) and ensure proper storage.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
Diploma/Degree in Mechanical / Metallurgical / Production Engineering or related field.
Certification:
ASNT/ISNT Level II in at least two methods (UT, RT, MT, PT, VT).
Experience:
5-8 years of NDT experience, including at least 2 years in a coordination or supervisory role.
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of fabrication, welding processes, and quality standards.
Familiar with codes and standards such as ASME, API, AWS, ISO.
Skills:
Excellent organizational and planning skills.
Strong communication and reporting ability.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
Proficiency in MS Office and documentation control.
