Role Summary
We are looking for a skilled Naval Architect to design, analyze, and develop marine vessels and offshore structures. The role involves engineering calculations, 3D modeling, stability assessments, and collaboration with classification societies, shipyards, and internal multidisciplinary teams. Candidate should able to relocate at project site as and when needed.
Key Responsibilities
Develop concept, basic, and detailed vessel designs
Perform hydrostatics, hydrodynamics, stability, strength & weight calculations
Create GA plans, structural drawings, and production documentation
Conduct model tests, CFD studies, and performance evaluations
Review class rules (ABS, DNV, BV, IRS, RINA, etc.) and ensure compliance
Support FEED studies, tender proposals, and technical presentations
Coordinate with shipyards, equipment suppliers, and regulatory authorities
Provide technical support during construction, sea trials & delivery
Prepare engineering reports, documentation & design justification
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or related field
2-5 years of experience in vessel design (freshers may be considered separately)
Strong knowledge of IMO regulations, SOLAS, MARPOL, class rules
Proficiency in design/analysis software (Maxsurf, Rhino, AutoCAD, NAPA, Orca3D, Ansys, ShipConstructor, etc.)
Strong analytical, problem-solving & technical writing skills
Preferred/Bonus Skills
Experience in offshore, defense, ferries, tugs, SOV/CTV, workboats, or cargo vessels
CFD & FEA experience
Shipyard exposure or construction support background
Project management & client communication skills
