As part of the Desmet Sales Team, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire sales cycle, from initial customer engagement through to contract closure, you will proactively identify and develop new business opportunities by leveraging events, client visits and referrals, achieving defined sales targets and implementing effective sales and marketing strategies for assigned market segments. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the complete sales cycle, from customer engagement to order finalization, ensuring alignment with Desmet India's sales policies and global standards. Identify and engage new customers through seminars, conferences, visits, and references, and maintain accurate records in the company CRM. Meet customers to discuss potential investments, generate interest in Desmet solutions, and register enquiries (including those received via email or web) in the CRM with unique quotation numbers. Work closely with customers to clarify requirements through detailed discussions. Develop technical documents, flow sheets, and proposals based on company standards or process team feedback. Share proposals with clients for review, finalize scope of supply, and prepare cost estimations and commercial offers. Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with clients, finalize contracts, secure signatures, and ensure timely collection of agreed down payments. Collaborate with Finance and Legal teams for BG and LC formats, contract alignment, and sign-off. Work with Customer Support to drive spares and service orders, and promote technical audits for business growth. Partner with the global marketing team to execute marketing initiatives and leverage social media tools for business development. Maintain updated records of opportunities in the Customer Information System (CIS) and provide regular market and competition updates to management.

REQUIRED PROFILE

BE/B.Tech. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering. 10+ years in direct sales within project-based industrial (B2B) environments, with a total career span of 15-20 years. Sales Expertise: Strong proficiency in sales negotiation, contract finalization, and advanced selling techniques. Marketing & PR: Demonstrated experience in developing marketing strategies, managing ad campaigns, and executing successful public relations initiatives. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, coupled with strong interpersonal skills. Mobility: Willingness to travel extensively across India to engage with clients and stakeholders. Decisive thinker, skilled influencer, and credible professional who serves as a role model. High standards of ethics, integrity, and professionalism in all business dealings.
