We are looking for a dynamic and result-driven National Sales Head to lead and scale our pan-India FMCG sales operations. The role demands a strategic thinker with deep distribution knowledge, strong channel management experience, and proven leadership in building high-performance sales teams.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market penetration, strengthening distributor networks, and executing national sales strategies aligned with company goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage national sales operations across General Trade, Modern Trade, Institutional Sales & E-commerce (if applicable)
Design and execute pan-India sales strategy to achieve volume, value, and market share targets
Build, scale, and manage regional, zonal, and area sales teams
Appoint, develop, and manage distributors, super-stockists, and key channel partners
Drive distribution expansion, secondary sales, visibility, and retail execution
Monitor sales performance using KPIs, MIS, forecasting, and market analytics
Collaborate with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Product teams
Lead pricing, trade schemes, and promotional strategies
Strengthen relationships with key accounts and strategic partners
Ensure compliance with company policies and FMCG industry standards
Required Skills & Competencies:
Strong leadership and team-building capabilities
Deep understanding of FMCG sales cycles and distribution models
Expertise in GT, MT, and regional market dynamics
Strategic planning, negotiation, and execution skills
Data-driven decision making and strong analytical ability
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Qualifications:
MBA / PGDM in Sales & Marketing (Preferred)
Minimum 12-18 years of FMCG sales experience
At least 5-7 years in a senior leadership role (National / Zonal / Business Head)
Proven track record of scaling brands or categories nationally
Industry Preference:
FMCG - Food & Beverage / Personal Care / Home Care / Health & Nutrition
