Key Objective: To partner with the business by strategically managing the collections for retail products of the company through an in-house legal team & law firms. With Proven skills in handling Arbitration, High Court, National Commission, District Court, DRT & Securitization Cases, RRC Litigation, NCL & GCL Recovery, Consumer Forum, Criminal, Arbitration cases and HNI customer cases Major Deliverables: 1. Handling all legal matter/ practices to secure the best interests of the organization in Debt Recovery. 2. Render Advise for planning the strategies and procedures to be followed in various cases of Debt Recovery, loss on sale and against cases. 3. Maintain and prepare Legal MIS and provide quarterly reports on Legal recovery. 4. Legal opinion / advice on banking debt Recovery, Arbitration, Securitization & Reconstruction of Financial Assets & Enforcement Act, Negotiable Instruments Act, Civil matters and Criminal matters, execution of warrants. 5. Ensure 100% adherence to Legal, Audit and Compliance norms for the department as well as policies and procedures of the company 6. Brief Company's Counsel on various cases & planning the strategies/ procedures to be followed. 7. Conducting / appearing in adjudication, Lok Adalat, Conciliation and inquiry proceedings before various authorities. 8. As an advocate represented cases both in Civil, Consumer and Criminal matters in the Honorable High Court as well as before the Subordinate Courts and Tribunals, including appearing before them and arguing matters. 9. Prepare documentation and handle correspondence & routine legal matters with internal & external customers related to service issues. 10. Actively involved in drafting & scrutinizing numerous legal documents such as plaints, written statements, affidavits, petitions, writ & original applications, deeds, agreements, contracts, bonds, guarantees etc. 11. Ensure trial preparation, Evidence filling, case development, Arbitration matters and other Alternate dispute resolution matters like Lok- Adalat, Conciliation. 12. Keep abreast of all latest developments/trends in local law/best practices with respect to collections, security creation and loan documentation. 13. Manage serious and complex litigation and serving as a liaison to outside counsel litigating the matter as well as represent the company in front of statutory authorities and other institutions 14. Ensure management and support of asset repossession as per policy and process though collection team and legal compliance in auction of repossessed assets 15. Manage and coordinate with vendors for recovery and auction through team 16. Lead and supervise the legal collections team for the implementation of a recovery agenda through appropriate training, motivation and deployment strategies. Educational Qualification: LLB & Above LLM
