Lead all In-Process Quality Assurance (IPQA) and final inspection activities within the engine production facility.
Ensure zero-defect products reach the customer by enforcing rigorous manufacturing standards, driving real-time process control, and leading rapid containment of production non-conformances.
This role is critical for maximizing First Time Through (FTT) yield and protecting the brand's reputation.
Key Responsibilities
Production Oversight: Manage the In-Process and Final Inspection teams. Ensure all assembly stages meet engineering specifications and that automated/manual test stations (e.g., leak tests, torque checks) are validated and calibrated.
Process Control & SPC: Implement and monitor Statistical Process Control (SPC) to identify trends before they result in defects.
Lead the application of Control Plans and PFMEAs (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) on the shop floor.
Non-Conformance Management: Own the internal Non-Conforming Material (NCM) process for the production line.
Lead the "Material Review Board" (MRB) to ensure timely disposition (Rework, Scrap, or UAI) of defective assemblies.
Root Cause Analysis: Drive structured problem-solving (e.g., 8D, 5-Whys, Fishbone) for internal escapes and production line stops.
Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to implement permanent corrective actions and "poka-yoke" (error-proofing) solutions.
QMS & Audit Compliance: Maintain manufacturing procedures compliant with IATF 16949.
Lead regular layered process audits (LPA) to ensure operators are adhering to standardized work instructions.
* Continuous Improvement Metrics: Monitor and report on key manufacturing quality KPIs, including First Time Through (FTT), Scrap Rate, and Rework Hours.
