Job Summary:
The NABL Calibration Engineer is responsible for performing calibration of various instruments and equipment in compliance with NABL (National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories) standards. The role requires expertise in electrical and electronic engineering, precise measurement skills, and adherence to quality standards to ensure the accuracy and reliability of calibration processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform calibration of electrical and electronic instruments in accordance with NABL standards and procedures.
- Utilize calibration equipment and software to conduct precise measurements.
- Document calibration results and ensure traceability to national and international standards.
- Maintain calibration equipment in good working condition.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot calibration issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Assist in the repair and adjustment of calibration instruments when necessary.
- Ensure all calibration activities comply with NABL standards and internal quality management systems.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance calibration processes and quality.
- Maintain detailed and accurate calibration records, including certificates and reports.
- Prepare calibration certificates and labels for calibrated instruments.
- Update and maintain calibration databases and management systems.
- Stay updated with advancements in calibration techniques, standards, and equipment.
- Interact with customers to understand their calibration needs and provide technical support.
- Ensure timely and efficient service delivery to meet customer requirements.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree (BE) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE).
- 3-5 years of experience in calibration, preferably in an NABL accredited laboratory.
- Strong knowledge of calibration principles, techniques, and standards.
- Proficiency in using calibration equipment and software.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in measurements.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle and operate calibration equipment.
- Comfortable working in a laboratory environment.
