Responsibilities :

1. Ensure the stable operation of all kinds of databases in all related business lines of the company, including but not limited to MySQL, Redis, Hadoop, ES, etc;
2. Responsible for the architecture design of database clusters, work with business departments to achieve database availability assurance, vertical and horizontal scaling solutions and implementation;
3. Able to do optimization and adjustment with the business, to achieve low-cost, high-performance database services;
4. Develop and design database operation and maintenance automation products and related components;
5. Maintain technical sensitivity, continue to do research on new database technology.

Requirement

1. Installing various versions of MySQL( like 5.x/8.x )/MariaDB on Linux , Windows, and other operating systems in both on-premise and on Cloud like AWS, Azure, etc.,
2. Managing Cloud(AWS/Azure) Managed MySQL/MariaDB.
3. Areas of experience include Installation, Creation, and Maintenance of Databases.
4. Taking online and offline backups, Managing daily, weekly backups.
5. Responsible for weekly DB maintenance, and production database release tasks.
6. Worked with storage engines MyISAM, InnoDB, Memory, etc.
7. Installing MySQL/MariaDB with source and binary distribution.
8. Perform security patching, bug fixes, and minor upgrades on production, pre-prod, and development database instances
9. Troubleshooting major incidents, connectivity issues, performance, and database slowness issues for database instances.
10. Monitoring performance and availability of databases during business hours and on-call hours.
11. Automating daily/recurring tasks such as user creation, log purging, and daily backups.
12. Adhering to security norms and providing database users with privileges as per decided standards. Database user role creation
13. MySQL/MariaDB replication setup
