Job Profile: MYP Mathematics Teacher

One World International School (OWIS), Whitefield

Role Overview:

The MYP Mathematics Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality mathematics instruction in alignment with the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP). The role focuses on developing students' analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills through inquiry-based, concept-driven learning in a multicultural environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging

Mathematics lessons

in accordance with the

IB MYP curriculum framework

. Develop unit plans, lesson plans, assessments, and differentiated learning materials aligned with MYP guidelines and the school's academic goals. Use a range of formative and summative assessment tools to track, evaluate, and support student learning and progress. Provide meaningful and constructive feedback to students and maintain accurate assessment records. Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes inquiry, collaboration, and conceptual understanding. Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and support students at various ability levels. Collaborate with the MYP Coordinator, mathematics department, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coherent curriculum delivery. Participate in parent-teacher meetings, student conferences, and school-related events as required. Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute actively to school-wide academic initiatives. Uphold the values and educational standards of OWIS and the IB community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mathematics (preferred) or a related field. Recognized teaching certification; IB MYP training or experience is an added advantage. 2-5 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or IB school environment. Strong communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire a passion for mathematics, logical reasoning, and critical thinking among students.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
