Job Profile: MYP English Teacher

One World International School (OWIS), Whitefield

Role Overview:

The MYP English Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction aligned with the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP). The role involves fostering students' analytical, communication, and critical-thinking skills while promoting inquiry-based learning in a multicultural classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English Language & Literature lessons in line with

IB MYP curriculum standards

. Develop units of inquiry, lesson plans, assessments, and learning materials aligned with MYP framework. Regularly assess and monitor student progress using formative and summative assessments. Provide constructive feedback to students and maintain accurate grade records. Create a positive, inclusive, and inquiry-driven classroom environment. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students. Collaborate with MYP coordinators, subject teachers, and the academic team on curriculum planning. Participate in parent meetings, student conferences, and school events as required. Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to school-wide initiatives. Uphold OWIS values and maintain the standards expected of an IB World School.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's/Master's degree in English, Literature, Education, or related field. Teaching certification (preferably with IB MYP training/experience). Minimum 2-5 years of teaching experience, ideally in an international or IB school. Strong communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking in students.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
