Experience with database platforms which includes
Administration and provisioning
Performance Tuning and Capacity Management
Backup, DR, Replication and HA
Monitoring and observability (Native monitoring tools and open-source tools like
Prometheus)
Configuration management - (Preferably Ansible/Chef)
Preferred
Coding and Scripting - Python
Security best practices
Strong OS (Linux) concepts and fundamentals
Strong Communication and Collaboration Skills
Customer-Centric Mindset
Responsibilities of the job include, but are not limited to:
Candidate will be serving as the primary point of contact for advanced level
troubleshooting issues and perform hands-on Database/ Systems administration as
required.
Candidate will automate regular administrative work and ensures they are functioning
correctly.
Candidate will write documentation, including data standards, procedures, and data
dictionary definitions.
Candidate will work with SRE's and Development teams on designs, database
performance optimization, and perform on-call support by providing responses to high
priority requests
The candidate will work with application developers to evolve the applications/database
architecture and design and will participate in the creation and refinement of staging &
production application/database instances.
