Role Overview

We are seeking a

dedicated Carnatic Vocal Teacher

who can transmit not only musical excellence but also the

bhava, discipline, and devotion

intrinsic to Carnatic music. The role involves mentoring young students in a residential gurukul environment where music is lived, not merely taught.

Key Responsibilities

Teach Carnatic Vocal Music to students across age groups

(7-17 years)

, from beginner to advanced levels Design and deliver structured yet inspired lesson plans Enrich and expand the existing music curriculum in alignment with traditional parampara Prepare students in

shruti, laya, voice culture, kritis, varnams, and manodharma

as appropriate Inspire students to cultivate

discipline, sensitivity, devotion, and love for music

Participate in school cultural activities, performances, and special events

Requirements

Strong foundation and formal training in

Carnatic Vocal Music

under a recognized Guru Prior teaching experience with children or young adults preferred Ability to balance

structure and creativity

in teaching Openness to living and working in a

gurukul-style, residential environment
