Job Description

The Primary Music Teacher is responsible for introducing and nurturing an interest in music among primary student. The teacher will develop students' basic musical skills, creativity, rhythm, and appreciation of music in alignment with CBSE guidelines and the school's holistic education philosophy.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and conduct engaging music classes for Primary students Teach basic

vocal and/or instrumental music

, including rhythm, melody, and simple notation. Introduce students to action songs, rhymes, patriotic songs, and age-appropriate compositions. Prepare students for school assemblies, celebrations, and cultural programmes. Encourage student participation and build confidence through group singing and performances. Maintain discipline and create a joyful, inclusive learning environment. Assess students' participation and progress as per CBSE co-scholastic norms. Coordinate with class teachers for integration of music into school activities. Ensure proper handling and maintenance of musical instruments and audio equipment. Participate in staff meetings, school events, and professional development programmes. Uphold school rules, child safety norms, and institutional values.

Qualifications:

Educational Qualification:

Degree/Diploma in Music (Vocal/Instrumental) from a recognized institution

Experience:

1-3 years of teaching experience in a Primary section (CBSE preferred)
