Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Academic Duties
Teach
vocal and/or instrumental music
(Indian classical, light music, devotional, patriotic, folk, and basic Western music as applicable).
Plan and deliver
age-appropriate music lessons
for Primary, Middle, and Secondary classes as per CBSE norms.
Prepare
lesson plans
, practice schedules, and assessment activities aligned with the CBSE co-scholastic framework.
Evaluate students' performance and maintain
records, progress reports, and portfolios
.
Co-Curricular & Event Management
Train students for
school assemblies, annual functions, competitions, cultural programs, and CBSE activities
.
Prepare and guide students for
inter-school competitions, exhibitions, and events
.
Organize music-related clubs, choirs, and practice sessions.
Student Development
Identify and nurture musical talent among students.
Encourage teamwork, discipline, confidence, and stage presence.
Promote appreciation of
Indian culture and values through music
.
Administrative & Professional Duties
Maintain and take responsibility for
musical instruments and music room resources
.
Coordinate with class teachers and activity in-charges.
Attend staff meetings, workshops, trainings, and school events as required.
Follow school policies, CBSE guidelines, and academic calendar.
