Job Title: Mushroom Spawn Lab Assistant

?8,000 - ?12,000 per month

Role Overview:

The Mushroom Spawn Lab Assistant supports day-to-day operations in the mushroom spawn production laboratory. The role involves assisting in culture maintenance, sterilization, inoculation, and quality monitoring to ensure consistent and contamination-free spawn production.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and sterilization of grain spawn and culture media. Support inoculation work under aseptic (cleanroom) conditions using laminar air flow. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the laboratory and all equipment. Label and store spawn bottles/bags properly with date and batch details. Help in monitoring incubation conditions (temperature, humidity, etc.). Record daily production data and report to the Lab Supervisor. Dispose of contaminated samples safely following lab protocols. Assist in periodic culture transfer and maintenance of mother cultures. Follow safety, hygiene, and sterilization standards strictly.

Requirements:

Education:

BSc Biotechnology, BSc Microbiology, BSc Botany

Experience:

2 year experience in related fields.

Skills:

Basic understanding of sterile lab practices. Attention to detail and cleanliness. Ability to work in a team and follow instructions accurately. Willingness to work in lab conditions with strict hygiene protocols.

Working Conditions:

Work Location: Mushroom Spawn Laboratory. Work Hours: 8 AM to 5 PM, 6 days/week.
