The role is with our core Testing team, which is supporting a big Migration Project. The role is part of the Automation testing team, which aims to bring innovation and automation of Test cases to accelerate the project execution.

Responsibilities

Developing Test automation scripts for the project


Understand and test the Murex/MPE trade booking flow, ensuring accurate front-to-back trade life cycle management and validation across systems.


Execution of Test scripts


Perform detailed manual testing for complex or evolving features where automation is not yet feasible, especially in the early stages of development or UAT.


Techno Functional


Execute functional testing of trade workflows, ensuring the system aligns with business rules and compliance requirements.


As part of the project, we are looking to automate the test cases that can be reused for regression testing. Create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test data based on business requirements, functional specs, and user stories.


Automation is also required to facilitate the smooth project delivery. Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Java and testing tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber) to streamline regression and integration testing.


Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other testers to validate system integration points, ensuring seamless communication between Murex/MPE and upstream/downstream systems.


Identify, log, track, and retest defects in defect management tools (JIRA), and provide detailed reports to developers and stakeholders.


Contribute to performance, scalability, and reliability testing of Murex-related processes, particularly for batch jobs, trade processing, and risk calculations.


Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives), collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide feedback to ensure quality is embedded throughout the SDLC.

Skills

Must have


Automation test engineer experience of 5+ years with expertise in testing methodologies and testing practices; a strong foundation in Test Automation.


Capital Markets & Murex Knowledge is mandatory.


Proven working experience on tools that support test automation like Postman, Rest Assured, SOAPUI, and Jenkins.


Experience in developing and maintaining frameworks using test automation tools and understanding their strengths and limitations. And following a strategic approach to uplift automation and planning.


Proficiency in at least one programming language and a scripting language such as Java, Python, and JavaScript.


Experience using version control tools,e.g., Git, Bitbucket.


Experience in working on Agile projects and tools like Jira, Confluence, and X-ray.


Keen eye for detail, be able to identify issues and errors, and possess the ability to document them accurately.


Identify compliance risks/issues and determine remediation plans, working with Dev team.


Knowledge of Security & Penetration Testing, Performance, and Volume testing.


Should be an individual contributor who works closely with dev/Support/other application teams.


Nice to have


Xceptor is good to have.


Extensive experience creating API, microservices automated test suites.


Knowledge of Murex booking system and trade booking using Murex.


Java.


Effective and fluent communication.
