The Delivery & Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for the efficient handling, collection, and delivery of materials and parcels. The role requires coordination with stores, warehouses, and railway authorities to ensure timely receipt and dispatch of goods while maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
Material Collection:
Enquire about and collect required materials from stores or warehouses.
Verify quantities and quality before collection.
Parcel Handling:
Collect parcels from the railway station as per the schedule.
Ensure proper documentation and acknowledgment of parcels received.
Use of Own Vehicle:
Use personal vehicle for pickups and deliveries as required.
Ensure vehicle is well-maintained and meets safety standards.
Record Keeping & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of all items collected, dispatched, or delivered.
Prepare daily/weekly reports for supervisors or management.
Coordination & Communication:
Liaise with store staff, railway officials, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
Communicate any delays or issues promptly to the supervisor.
Timely Delivery:
Ensure all materials and parcels reach the intended destinations on time.
Address logistical challenges proactively.
Compliance & Safety:
Adhere to company policies and safety guidelines during handling and transportation.
Ensure materials and parcels are handled with care to prevent damage.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Basic understanding of logistics and material handling.
Good organizational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
Preferred Experience:
Previous experience in delivery, logistics, or warehouse operations is a plus.
