Role Summary
Salesforce Administrator responsible for day-to-day administration, configuration, and support of Salesforce solutions in a life sciences-focused environment. This role owns user support and platform operations, builds declarative automation and reporting, maintains data quality, and supports releases and change control. The Administrator works closely with Solution Architects, Developers, Business Analysts, PMO, and QA to drive delivery and continuous improvement. This is an individual contributor role. No travel. Fully remote.
Core Responsibilities
Design and implement integrations between Salesforce and external systems using MuleSoft (Anypoint Platform) and APIs
Own integration solution documentation including interface specifications, data mappings, sequence diagrams, and operational runbooks
Define integration patterns and non-functional requirements (security, scalability, error handling, retries, idempotency, monitoring)
Build MuleSoft APIs and integrations (API-led connectivity patterns, REST/SOAP services, message queues where applicable)
Design and implement Salesforce-side integration components (Connected Apps, OAuth, Named Credentials, External Services, Platform Events, Change Data Capture)
Support data integration needs including batch and near-real-time sync, transformations, and data quality checks
Collaborate with client stakeholders to gather integration requirements, clarify source/target systems, and drive technical decisions
Partner with Salesforce Architects, Developers, Business Analysts, PMO, and QA to deliver end-to-end solutions
Support regulated delivery needs (HIPAA/PHI handling where applicable, auditability, change control, and release governance)
Support CI/CD and release processes for integrations (source control, branching, automated testing, deployment pipelines)
Troubleshoot production integration issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement fixes and preventive improvements
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in integration development and/or integration architecture roles
Required MuleSoft experience delivering integrations (design, build, deploy, support) on Anypoint Platform
Experience integrating with Salesforce (Salesforce APIs, authentication patterns, and platform eventing options)
Required healthcare experience and supporting health data manipulation, security, and transfer
Strong understanding of integration fundamentals: API design, data mapping, transformation, error handling, retries, idempotency, and monitoring
Strong understanding of security fundamentals: OAuth 2.0, JWT, TLS, certificate handling, and least-privilege access
Experience with both synchronous and asynchronous integration approaches and making tradeoffs based on reliability and performance
Experience working in Agile delivery teams and collaborating across onshore/offshore teams
Strong client-facing communication skills and ability to drive clarity across technical and non-technical stakeholders
Required Salesforce Certifications
Salesforce Certified Mulesoft Developer I or equivalent level of experience
Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator I or equivalent level of experience
Nice to Have
Experience with Dell Boomi or Informatica (for example: Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services) in addition to MuleSoft
Salesforce certifications (optional): Salesforce Certified Platform Integration Architect; Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I
Health Cloud experience and/or Health Cloud Accredited Professional
Experience integrating with common life sciences platforms (for example: Veeva, IQVIA) and identity/MDM solutions
Experience with event streaming or message brokers (for example: Kafka, JMS, or cloud-native queues)
Exposure to validated system delivery (requirements traceability, test evidence, audit readiness)
