Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Master of Social Work (MSW) professional to serve as a community liaison and settlement facilitator for a public utility project involving land situated in government-owned Right of Way (ROW). The MSW will work directly with landowners, residents, and stakeholders to facilitate smooth on-ground settlement, conflict resolution, and communication during the land acquisition and project implementation process.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage with local communities and landowners whose lands fall within government ROW for the project.
Facilitate transparent communication between the project authorities and affected people to address concerns and grievances.
Counsel and support affected individuals and families to understand project implications and assist with settlement processes.
Coordinate with government officials, legal advisors, and project management teams for smooth land acquisition and dispute resolution.
Organize and conduct community meetings, consultations, and awareness sessions.
Document field observations, grievances, and resolution outcomes for project records.
Advocate for vulnerable groups and ensure their rights and entitlements are properly addressed.
Assist in the preparation of reports and recommendations related to social impact and community relations.
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from a recognized university.
Knowledge of land laws, Right of Way (ROW) regulations, and community development is preferred.
Experience in community engagement, social counseling, and conflict resolution is essential.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work effectively in field settings and build rapport with diverse community groups.
Prior experience in government projects, infrastructure development, or resettlement is an advantage.
