Assisting the Principal in developing, reviewing, and updating the curriculum for the M.Sc. Nursing program, ensuring it aligns with the latest standards and best practices.
Teaching and Instruction:
Delivering lectures, seminars, and clinical training sessions to M.Sc. Nursing students, sharing expertise and knowledge in specialized areas.
Supervision of Student Research:
Guiding and supervising M.Sc. Nursing students in their research projects, providing mentorship and support throughout the research process.
Exam Management:
Assisting with the planning and execution of examinations, ensuring fair and accurate assessment of student learning.
Co-curricular Activities:
Organizing and supervising co-curricular activities that enhance students' overall learning experience and professional development.
Administrative Responsibilities:
Faculty Management:
Assisting the Principal in managing the nursing faculty, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and providing guidance.
Student Admission:
Participating in the student admission process, assessing applications, and ensuring adherence to admission criteria.
Budget Management:
Assisting with the management of the nursing program's budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
Reporting and Record Keeping:
Maintaining accurate records of student progress, faculty performance, and other relevant data, and preparing reports as required.
Ensuring Compliance:
Ensuring that the nursing program adheres to all relevant regulatory and accreditation standards.
Student Welfare Responsibilities:
Student Counseling:
Providing guidance and support to students, addressing their academic and personal challenges.
Discipline Management:
Handling student disciplinary issues, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment.
Promoting Student Well-being:
Implementing initiatives to promote student well-being and mental health.
Safety and Security:
Ensuring student safety and security within the institution, including emergency preparedness.
In addition to these, a Vice Principal may also be involved in:
Public Relations and Outreach:
Representing the nursing program at public events and engaging with stakeholders in the nursing community.
Professional Development:
Participating in professional development activities to enhance their own knowledge and skills.
