About The Job:

• We are seeking an experienced Cloud Database Administrator with expertise in Microsoft Azure, Client Web Services (AWS), and SQL Server to manage, optimize, and secure our cloud-based database environments.
• The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, performance, and compliance of mission-critical databases across multiple platforms.

Essential Job Functions:

• Database Management & Administration

• Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases on Azure and AWS environments.
• Manage database provisioning, scaling, and performance tuning.
• Implement and monitor high availability and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Always On, geo-replication).
• Performance & Optimization

• Monitor database health using tools like Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch, and SQL Performance Insight.
• Optimize queries, indexing strategies, and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks.
• Security & Compliance

• Implement encryption, firewall rules, and role-based access control (RBAC).
• Manage user permissions and authentication via Azure Active Directory and AWS IAM.
• Backup & Recovery

• Configure automated backups and recovery plans.
• Test disaster recovery procedures regularly.
• Migration & Upgrades

• Plan and execute database migration from environment to the other.
• Apply patches and upgrades to maintain system integrity.
• Automation

• Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and AWS CLI.
• Develop scripts for monitoring, backups, and maintenance.
• Collaboration & Support

• Work closely with development teams to optimize database usage.
• Provide technical support and resolve database-related issues promptly.

Qualifications:

• Exp-8-12 years
• Additional RDBMS knowledge like Postgres or MySQL is an added advantage.
• Willingness to work in shifts and rotations including weekends.
