Key Responsibilities:




Database Monitoring & Maintenance


Monitor SQL Server performance (CPU, memory, I/O).


Review failed jobs, long-running queries, and system alerts.


Perform routine health checks using tools like SSMS and Foglight.


Backup & Restore


Ensure regular backups are completed and verified.


Perform basic restore operations as needed.


User Access & Security


Manage user accounts, logins, and permissions.


Support compliance with data security policies.


Routine Maintenance


Rebuild/reorganize indexes and update statistics.


Clean up logs and old data.


Deployment Support


Assist in applying database changes or running scripts.


Document changes and use PowerShell as needed.


Developer Support


Help write/debug SQL queries.


Assist in testing/troubleshooting in dev/UAT environments.

Knowledge & Documentation:




Understand basic database design (normalization, keys, relationships).


Automate recurring tasks with T-SQL or PowerShell.


Maintain documentation and support audit requirements.


Tools & Technologies:


SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)


Foglight (or similar monitoring tools)


PowerShell (basic scripting)


Ticketing tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow)


Total Experience Expected: 02-04 years

The candidate should be willing to participate in on-call support, which typically occurs outside of regular office hours. They must also be open to traveling on-site if required.
